John is the founder of JAS Associates and he spent the majority of his career at senior management levels within the security industry.

During his career at senior management levels,  John spent 3 years as Deputy Security Manager at that time the largest merchant bank in the UK post to holding a senior technical position within Securicor Alarms.

John's portfolio now boasts the following: Consultation to achieve and maintain certification to Management System Standards. Assistance to achieve and maintain certification to Product Standards (Security & Fire Systems including BAFE SP203-1 [Fire Alarms] & BAFE SP101 [Portable Extinguishers]. Health & Safety Manager, Consultancy to ARCs & RVRCs (in relation to BS5979, EN50518 & BS9518), Consultancy to Certification Bodies on UKAS Accreditation to ISO17021 (Management Systems Certification Schemes) & ISO17065 (Product Certification Schemes), Carrying out third party audits to ISO9001 & ISO45001 for UKAS Accredited Certification Bodies, Production of Health & Safety Policies and Procedures, Production of Health & Safety Method Statements, Risk, COSHH Assessments, Training in relation to Management Systems & Health & Safety, Security Screening Training and Assessments to BS7858.
Within Health & Safety, John's achievements include CHAS, Constructionline, Safecontractor,  SMAS, Achilles and the like Accreditations for clients.

He is also qualified via the Association of Planning Supervisors (now Association of Project Safety) as a CDM Co-ordinator as defined under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM) and holds their Entrance Examination and has 25+ years in H&S Managerial/Consultancy Roles. He is also a Technical Grade Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH).
